It can be very hard to start over after leaving domestic abuse, but with God's help, you can find peace, healing, and a purpose in your life. You can use the Bible's timeless lessons to help you on this journey.

First, know that God is with you. Psalm 34:18 states, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." God's presence can bring you comfort and strength in your hardest times. He has a plan for you that will make you rich and not hurt you (Jeremiah 29:11). Please trust it.

Second, learn to forgive yourself as well as other people. It's very helpful to forgive because it lets you let go of the past and move on with kindness. Ephesians 4:32 tells us to be kind and sympathetic, and to forgive each other, just as God forgives us in Christ.

Lastly, ask God for help every day. Proverbs 3:5–6 tells us to put all our trust in the Lord and not on what we think we know. You can move forward with hope and faith in this new part of your life if you pray to God and ask for His guidance.

You can go from being a victim to a victor by following these Biblical principles. Welcome to the New Life God has planned for you!
